Big League Mentors was
founded in February 2010 by ex-Florida Marlin’s farmhand Ryan Bear.
Bear was signed as a senior out of the University of Central Florida by
the Marlins in the 30th round of the 2003 Major League Baseball first
year player draft. Being a late round senior sign, Bear realized how
easy it is for good college and high school players to slip
through the cracks and not be seen by professional scouts and college
recruiters. Bear also realized with the right exposure nearly every
player can play at the next level, whether it be a small college or
even the big leagues. According to Bear, “You just have to be in the
right place at the right time. The key is to get the prospective player
seen by the right scout or the right college recruiter.”

BLM has created an online baseball showcase to solve the problem of
players not getting seen. BLM can build your personal profile to
get you on the grid
for college coaches and pro scouts to see. Players that buy
an evaluation
are guaranteed instant exposure to a pro scout along with feedback. BLM
actually brings the scouting
network to the prospective player. Now a player that would have slipped
through the cracks not only gets seen but receives valuable feedback as
well. BLM is not just a recruiting service. We specialize
in getting players seen and assisting them in the development and
recruiting process.
Big League Mentors puts
every
player at the “Right Place at the Right Time!”

Big
League Mentors is a
baseball recruiting company designed to use technology to bridge the
gap between talented
baseball players and college coaches/professional scouts. It is BLM’s
goal to ensure
that every “Mentor Player” has a chance to get seen. Every player
that purchases an evaluation gets guaranteed exposure to and receives
feedback from a pro scout, thus
increasing the player’s chances of playing at the highest possible
level coinciding with his talent.
BLM
was created for three reasons: to get
players seen, to give players feedback, and to give players
opportunity. The first two purposes were
mentioned
earlier. BLM’s third purpose is to
create opportunity for the player whether at the professional or
college level. BLM knows one of the worst
mistakes a player
can make is not having realistic goals. When a
player receives a BLM evaluation he knows where he
stands. With this information a player knows
where to
improve. After a player has been
evaluated by BLM he will be able to market himself to colleges that
coincide
with his talent level. Imagine how much
credibility a player will have with a college coach when he hands him a
written
evaluation from a pro scout. A
BLM evaluation is a perfect instrument to open a coach’s eyes and
create an
opportunity. Read more ...
