The
evaluation process is what makes Big League Mentors unique. No
other baseball recruiting service has direct contact with pro
scouts. Obviously the main purpose of a standard recruiting service
is to get a player seen by college coaches/professional scouts. BLM
takes this one step further by not only putting footage of a player
in front of pro scouts but ensuring that those scouts produce useful
feedback as well. Below is a sample evaluation of strengths,
weaknesses, and areas to improve. Also, included with every BLM
package is a comments page from the scout that summarizes the
evaluation and informs the player about
his current ability level. Finally, the player will also
receive a list of instructional drill work he can do that correlates to
his weaknesses and areas to improve. This drill work can be found
within BLM's site under the Drills/Instruction tab and recommendations
for drills outside of the site will also be offered. It is BLM's
primary objective to help players improve their quality of play and to
assist in creating opportunities to further their baseball careers.
BLM
recommends that a player get
evaluated at least twice a season to accurately track his improvements.

(the following evaluation was performed
for a college player that is familiar with advanced baseball
terminology. BLM will adjust terminology according to the age and
ability level of each player to ensure players have a thorough and
complete understanding of the evaluation.)
