Below
are clips of instructional drills for all players wanting to improve
their skills and further their careers.
High Toss / Hitting Drill
This Drill focuses on bat barrel control. The hitter must move
his hands back and up during load and use a short level swing while
creating length through and after contact. The hitter should be
hitting all head level line drives. If the angle of the batted ball
is heading toward the ground the hitter is chopping too much. If
the angle of the batted ball is heading up toward the top of the cage
the hitter is not staying on top of the ball.
Knees
and Hands Drill The focus of this drill is
to get low to the ground and funnel the
baseball in to the midsection. This funnel motion forces the
player to bring his hands to the center of his body after fielding
which is where he should break his hands in order to set up in a good
throwing position.
